An entertainment concept offering bowling, games and beverages for all ages is expanding in North Carolina.

Pins Mechanical Co. will open its first Triangle location in Raleigh’s Seaboard Station, according to a press release.

Washington, D.C.-based developer Hoffman & Associates is leading the three-phase overhaul of the downtown property, which, when projects are completed, will include retail, residential, hotel and outdoor space.

Here’s what we know about the forthcoming entertainment business.

Where and when will Pins Mechanical Co. open?

Pins is joining the growing list of businesses at Seaboard Station, a mixed-use development in downtown Raleigh.

The business will open in a 27,000-square-foot space in the ground floor of The Miles — one of three apartment communities at the downtown district — at 10 W. Franklin St.

An opening is planned for winter 2025, according to the press release.

What can you do at Pins?

The entertainment business offers a variety of activities for people of all ages:

  • Duckpin bowling
  • Pinball
  • Arcade games
  • Ping pong
  • Patio pong

Pins Mechanical also serves cocktails, beer, mocktails and drinks for kids.

Foosball and pinball are among the games that will be housed in the new Pins Mechanical Co., planned to open in a 27,000-square-foot space in downtown Raleigh in 2025.

Pins’ first Triangle location is its third in NC

The downtown Raleigh location will be the company’s 13th overall and its third in North Carolina, with one open Charlotte location and another planned for the city’s North Davidson area.

Pins started in Ohio and has since expanded to Tennessee, North Carolina, Indiana and Pennsylvania. The concept has also announced plans for venues in Greenville, South Carolina; Kansas City, Missouri; Austin, Texas; and Mason and Columbus in Ohio.

The entertainment business is owned by Rise Brands, which also operates No Soliciting and 16-Bit Bar + Arcade.

“This new venue marks an important step in our expansion, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring our unique entertainment offering to Raleigh,” Troy Allen, the CEO of Rise Brands, said in the news release.

On the retail and services side, Sweathouz and Body Fit Training will join O2 Fitness, Fresenius, Seaboard Nails and eyeglass store The Eye Institute.

Three more businesses were announced earlier this month, The News & Observer previously reported:

  • Club Pilates: This studio specializing in reformer-based Pilates is expected to open late this year at 11 W. Franklin St.
  • TOUS les JOURS: Offering pastries, cakes, desserts, breads and drinks, this French-Asian bakery cafe plans to open in spring 2025.
