A sweet addition is coming soon to downtown Raleigh.

Insomnia Cookies, a national chain known for freshly-baked cookie deliveries, is opening a new store on Fayetteville Street.

Here’s what we know about the new location.

Where will the new Insomnia Cookies be?

The store will be located at 121 Fayetteville St. in Raleigh next to the forthcoming PrimoHoagies.

Insomnia Cookies’ press team did not immediately respond to The News & Observer’s request for more information on the store opening. But according to the location’s website, the downtown location is “coming soon.”

Other Insomnia Cookies locations in the Triangle

The Fayetteville Street location adds to three other stores in the area:

  • Raleigh: 2302 Hillsborough St.
  • Chapel Hill: 145 E. Franklin St.
  • Durham: 1105 W. Main St.

What’s on Insomnia Cookies’ menu?

The bakery sells the classic cookie flavors, including chocolate chunk, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, sugar and oatmeal raisin. Seasonal flavors are also available for limited times. For example, Insomnia Cookies recently began serving a peanut butter and jelly-filled cookie, made with Jif peanut butter and grape jelly.

Besides cookies, Insomnia offers brownies, cookie cakes and ice cream sandwiches.

While hours may vary by day and location, bakeries stay open late, sometimes hours after midnight, to satisfy cookie cravings.

New restaurants on Fayetteville Street

A few new dining concepts are coming to the downtown street, The N&O previously reported.

  • PrimoHoagies: The second location for the sandwich shop is expected to open later this year. PrimoHoagies, which specializes in Italian-style and deli sandwiches, already has a restaurant in Raleigh’s North Hills.
  • Diced: Expected to open this fall, this healthy, fast-casual restaurant is moving into the former Tasty 8’s.
  • Birdie’s: This all-day concept from Carolina Ale House owner LM Restaurants plans to open in an old Cafe Carolina this year.
