A clothing rental company is opening a second storefront in the Triangle very soon.

TrenLend, which has a location in Cary, is the latest tenant to join Makers Alley, part of the North Hills Innovation District in the popular Raleigh mixed-use development, according to a press release from Kane Realty.

What is TrenLend?

Founded by Emmy Weiland and Amelia Zahn, graduates of N.C. State, TrenLend is an in-person and online clothing rental company.

It offers pieces in a range of styles and price points, available for rent for four-, eight- or 14-day periods.

At TrenLend, customers can try on clothing before they rent. Clothing can be returned in person or by mail, and the company takes care of cleaning.

When and where will TrenLend open?

  • The business plans to open its North Hills location Aug. 17.
  • It will be located in Makers Alley, located at the base of Channel House Apartments, at 540 St. Albans Drive.

Makers Alley is a collection of small retail spaces catered toward local purveyors and artisans. Other tenants of Makers Alley include Ky’s Kandles, Bofémme and, by spring 2025, an all-day restaurant and market called Good Graces.
