Popular men’s & women’s clothing store opening a new Raleigh location soon. Here’s where
Update: The opening date for Madewell has been delayed. A new date hasn’t been announced.
Changes are coming soon to the tenant lineup at Raleigh’s North Hills.
The popular clothing store Madewell is opening soon. And Lululemon, which already has a North Hills brick-and-mortar, is moving to a new location in the shopping district.
Here are details on the retail changes.
When is Madewell opening at Raleigh’s North Hills?
Madewell — which sells clothing, shoes, bags and jewelry — was expected to open its newest Raleigh store Aug. 14 but has delayed the opening, Hannah Smith, a senior marketing manager for Kane Realty, told The News & Observer in an email. A new opening date has not yet been announced. (Kane Realty owns the Raleigh development.)
The location will be in the Main District of North Hills, at 4114 Center at North Hills St. Suite 110.
This will be Madewell’s only Raleigh location, as the store at Crabtree Valley Mall has closed. However, the retailer also has stores at Cary’s Fenton and Streets at Southpoint in Durham.
J.Crew, a sister brand to Madewell, is also expanding to North Hills, The News & Observer previously reported. While no specific opening date has been set, the store is expected to open later this fall, Smith said.
Lululemon moving within North Hills
Athletic apparel retailer Lululemon has a store in the Lassiter District of North Hills, near Total Wine.
But in a few months, the store will be housed in a different location. Lululemon is moving to the Main District and is expected to open in October, Smith told The N&O.
Lululemon did not immediately respond to The N&O’s request for more information about the move, including when the current location at 4421 Six Forks Road will close.
