Chick-fil-A teases return of ‘much-loved’ sandwich not seen in 4 years. What to know
A Chick-fil-A fan favorite is returning to the menu for the first time in years, alongside another “much-loved” item.
Starting Tuesday, Jan. 7, customers can get their first bites of the grilled spicy deluxe sandwich at participating Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide, according to the Atlanta-based chicken chain.
The sandwich was last offered in 2021 and will join two seasonal key lime drinks: a key lime lemonade and key lime frosted lemonade, Chick-fil-A said in a news release.
Both items will be available for a limited time through March 15.
“Winter is a great time to bring back the grilled spicy deluxe, a sandwich that packs the flavor in every layer, while bringing the spice our guests crave at this time of year,” Allison Duncan, director of menu and packaging at Chick-fil-A, said in the release.
Set to join the restaurant’s other grilled offerings, the sandwich features a boneless chicken breast topped with Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce and tomato served on a multigrain brioche bun, a product description says.
It also comes with a “creamy” cilantro lime sauce, according to the restaurant.
Added as a limited-time offering in 2019, Chick-fil-A’s key lime beverages will return as part of an “expanded line-up.” The new key lime frosted lemonade is a blend of lemonade, soft-serve “Icedream” dessert and key lime flavors, the restaurant said.
It’s the latest in Chick-fil-A’s rotation of seasonal beverages. Iterations of its signature lemonade, specifically, have included:
- Cherry berry
- Watermelon mint
- Cloudberry
- Mango passion
Customers can check the availability of the grilled spicy deluxe sandwich and key lime beverages on the Chick-fil-A mobile app, or by contacting their local restaurant.
