In August, Wendell Mayor Virginia Gray decided against ordering a mask mandate like some other Wake County towns. Do you agree with this decision?
Yes, freedom of choice.
What is Wendell doing right, and wrong, on managing growth?
Growth is not currently being managed. The town of Wendell is in for a rude awakening in the coming years.
If elected, what would your two or three priorities be during your first year in office?
Stop telling citizens what to do with their bodies. Slow down the pace of high-density housing construction.
What unique skills or life perspective would you bring to city governance?
Having been born and raised in the Bay Area of California and then raising my family in the Central Valley of California, I’m uniquely familiar with small towns that literally blew up with growth. It is not a path I want to see Wendell go down. Eight years serving in the USMC as a reservist. Small business owner for over 20 years. High School soccer coach and Rec coach for soccer and baseball for 10 years. My wife and I raised three children who are all married and doing well. I love Wendell. I love the small town feel. If folks want to live in a larger town, they have plenty of options. Let’s preserve our “Small Town Big Charm”
