Cracker Barrel’s menu has a few new additions, plus some classics are returning.

The Tennessee-based eatery, known for its down-home country cooking, rolled out three new offerings on Tuesday, Jan. 7, at participating restaurants nationwide, according to a news release.

The new entrees include:

  • Crispy chicken tender dippers (with a Nashville Hot-inspired sauce)
  • Signature saucy chicken sandwich
  • Chicken n’ dumplin soup

Customers can also order returning favorites including the sunrise pancake special for $7.99 and the sparkling sugar plum mimosa.

“Our new Crispy Tender Dippers are the perfect way to enjoy our fan-favorite fried chicken tenders in a whole new way,” Sarah Moore, chief marketing officer for Cracker Barrel, said in the release.

The signature saucy chicken sandwich includes a hand-breaded chicken breast topped with pickles, mayonnaise and customers’ choice of buttermilk ranch, honey mustard, barbecue, maple chipotle, Carolina Gold barbecue or Nashville Hot sauce, a product description reads.

It’s then served on a toasted bun.

For those in search of lighter fare, Cracker Barrel’s chicken n’ dumplin soup is made with “homestyle dumplings, shredded chicken, celery, carrots and onions in a savory broth,” the restaurant said.

Pricing information wasn’t immediately available.

The additions come more than six months after Cracker Barrel teased its “largest menu revamp” ever, testing almost two dozen new offerings at locations in Texas.

Daily specials also got an overhaul, including fan favorites like the lemon pepper trout n’ classic turnip greens and Southern barbecue ribs, McClatchy News reported.

“For nearly 55 years, guests have known and loved us for our authentic, homestyle cooking, and that’s not going away,” Cammie Spillyards-Schaefer, senior vice president of operations at Cracker Barrel, said at the time.

“We’ve only added more flavor and crave to the menu and made it easier to navigate.”
