Ever wonder how much it costs to treat a snakebite in North Carolina? If it’s legal to trim your neighbor’s tree? How to safely deal with carpenter bees? Or where exactly is the NC setting for the book and movie “Where the Crawdads Sing”?
Those are just a few of the many questions we at The News & Observer wanted answered over the past year, and now we want to know what questions you have for us to answer.
For our new series, Triangle Asked & Answered, The N&O’s service team will select from reader submitted questions, hunt down the details and present the answers. We’re kicking off our series this week with a question from an N&O staffer about why some streetlights in Durham (and other areas) have a purplish-blue hue. We’re hoping it inspires you to come up with your own questions.
Coming soon, we look at the legality of golf carts on Raleigh city streets, why the lanes on Raleigh’s Wake Forest Road are so terrifyingly narrow, and why you can’t buy liquor alongside beer in NC grocery stores.
