Coffee shop/used book store in downtown Raleigh

After several delays, The Newsagent’s is now open on downtown Raleigh’s Fayetteville Street.

The store combines a coffee shop with retail, selling secondhand books, magazines, vinyl records, comics and movies on different formats. The Newsagent’s is already filled with inventory, but will also buy items from the community to resell.

Named for newsstands and their proprietors, The Newsagent’s is located in the historical Mahler Building. The new business’s owners have preserved a wall that dates back to the 19th century and paid homage to the building’s past in a mural.

The Newsagent’s is now in its soft opening phase but will later extend its hours.
