There’s a landscaping plan for the outdoor area, set to include a playground, cornhole, hammocks and room to hang out.

But out front, Crooked Hammock wants to install a special landmark.

Crooked Hammock asks for donated Jeep

Common across two of the brewery’s three existing locations, a retired Jeep will be placed near the Raleigh location’s entrance, owner Rich Garrahan hopes.

“We’re actively searching for one in Raleigh right now that has been donated by somebody within the community, a Jeep that’s done its service for hopefully the last 20 or 30 years, and somebody wants to commemorate and memorialize it in a special place,” Garrahan told The News & Observer in a call.

Anyone who is interested in donating a used Jeep should contact the Raleigh brewery by Friday, March 6, by filling out a form on the location’s website.

The Jeep donor will be thanked with a donor plaque to placed near the Jeep, along with an invitation to the opening.

Crooked Hammock is expected to open its Raleigh restaurant and brewery this spring. It will be the brand’s fourth, joining locations in Delaware and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. A fifth location is slated to open in 2027 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.

Crooked Hammock will have 16 beers on tap, brewed in house, and offer scratch-made dishes including burgers, pizza, wings, salads and nachos.
