Membership club opens Johnston County store

BJ’s Wholesale Club will soon have 11 locations in North Carolina when it opens its newest store on Friday, Jan. 23.

The membership club is joining the Eastfield development, which houses retailers including Ulta Beauty and Academy Sports + Outdoors.

BJ’s is one of three membership clubs with Triangle locations, along with Costco Wholesale Club and Sam’s Club.

A Raleigh resident is opening Rooted Yoga & Wellness, a studio offering yoga, meditation and connection.

The studio, expected to open this summer, is the fifth tenant announced for the Rockway development near Dorothea Dix Park. Benchwarmers Bagels, BK Pilates and Campo Taco Co. are already open at Rockway, and one other restaurant is still to come.

Another new beauty-focused tenant has been announced for North Hills.

Face Foundrié, a chain offering facials and brow and lash services, is joining the Raleigh development. It’s expected to open this summer in the Park District near Massage Envy.

North Hills should see several restaurant and retail openings in 2026, including Sephora and Velvet Taco.
