Two more streaming platforms are now available to Spectrum TV customers at no additional cost.

The plans, Max (from HBO) and Paramount+, give customers access to additional TV shows and movies. Certain Spectrum TV customers can also watch content from Disney+, ESPN+, ViX and Tennis Channel Plus.

Max became available to Spectrum TV Select customers in December, and Paramount+ joined the lineup in August.

Here’s what to know about the platforms and how to activate the deals.

How Spectrum TV customers can get Max

Max with Ads is available to Spectrum TV customers who have the TV Select Signature or TV Select Plus plans.

The partnership between Charter Communications, which owns Spectrum, and Warner Bros. Discovery, which owns Max and Discovery +, was announced in September, along with upgrades for internet customers, The News & Observer previously reported. However, Spectrum TV customers only became able to access the streaming platforms in December.

Alone, the Max with Ads plan costs about $10 per month. Viewers can stream titles from the DC universe, HBO, Warner Bros. Harry Potter, Max originals and popular TV shows including “The Big Bang Theory” and “Friends.”

Spectrum TV Select customers can activate their Max with Ads subscription at spectrum.com/streamapps.

The Max with Ads subscription through Spectrum TV does not replace any existing Max subscriptions. Spectrum recommends that customers manage Max subscriptions to avoid multiple subscriptions and charges.

How Spectrum TV customers can get Paramount+

Paramount+ Essential, the ad-supported version of Paramount’s streaming service, is available to Spectrum TV Select and Mi Plan Latino customers.

Spectrum customers can watch CBS shows, the UEFA Champions League, NFL on CBS and Paramount+ originals with the Paramount+ Essential plan — which typically costs about $8 per month.

“This partnership not only enhances the viewing experience with access to top-rated original content and live sports, but it also creates new distribution opportunities for Paramount and is a significant step towards building a healthier video ecosystem that benefits both our customers and the industry as a whole,” Tom Montemagno, the executive vice president of programming acquisition for Charter, said in a news release.

Spectrum TV Select and Mi Plan Latino customers can activate their Paramount+ Essential plan at spectrum.com/paramountplusonus.

The Paramount+ Essential subscription through Spectrum doesn’t replace any existing Paramount+ subscription. If you already have a Paramount+ plan but want to activate the plan through Spectrum, first cancel your existing Paramount+ subscription.
