It’s a lottery win thousands of North Carolina players won’t be forgetting this Thanksgiving.

That’s because more than 9,000 people split a $3.7 million jackpot on Nov. 23 after playing winning numbers 4-4-4 in the Carolina Pick 3 drawing, according to the NC Education Lottery.

A player with a 50-cent ticket took home $250 while a player with a $1 ticket won $500, lottery officials said.

All 9,513 tickets matched the same three winning numbers, according to the lottery service.

“Combinations of three of the same numbers are some of the most popular sets of numbers played,” lottery officials said in a news release.

The odds of matching the same three numbers are 1 in 1,000, according to the lottery service.

Winners have 180 days to pick up their prizes.

Carolina Pick 3 game drawings are held daily at 3 p.m. and 11:22 p.m., lottery officials said.

Players can choose their own numbers or have numbers picked for them through Quick Pick.
