This week on the Under the Dome politics podcast, host Dawn Vaughan talks with the main reporting team behind a project by The News & Observer and The Charlotte Observer, “Big Poultry.”

With some stories already published and more on the way, N&O environment reporter Adam Wagner, Observer investigative reporter Ames Alexander and Observer data reporter Gavin Off talk with Vaughan about what went into the project looking at a billion birds and a growing number of poultry farms. They discuss what the data shows, what it doesn’t, and what the impact is on farmers, neighbors, the environment and the entire state.
