A 61-year-old Maryland woman couldn’t believe her luck after snagging her third lottery win in three years.

The Montgomery County player won $50,000 from the same store ― with her first two wins dating back to 2018, according to the Maryland Lottery.

“I just didn’t believe it, again!” the retired housekeeper, whose name wasn’t shared publicly, told lottery officials in a Nov. 22 news release. “When I saw that message, ‘See Lottery,’ I just left immediately and scratched off the rest of the ticket in the car.”

She bought all three of her winning instant lottery tickets at Talbert’s Ice & Beverage Service on River Road in Bethesda, according to the lottery service.

The Chevy Chase resident’s latest win came after she stopped at the beverage store to buy two $5 Lucky instant tickets a couple weeks ago, she told lottery officials. Instead of scratching the tickets she prefers to scan “the prize check area” to see if there are any winning numbers.

Although her first ticket wasn’t a match, the second one “revealed the game’s top prize of $50,000,” according to the lottery service.

She called her best friend to share the “unbelievable news.”

“When she told me, I was so happy for her,” the woman’s friend told lottery officials. “It was hard to believe that she won $50,000 again.”

Her best friend tagged along when she claimed her third jackpot in three years.

She won $50,000 playing the Bonus Cash game in August 2018 and again playing the $50,000 Cash Craze Doubler instant ticket in October of that year, according to the lottery service.

“People play every day and not win,” the winner said in the news release. “It’s amazing that I won three times.”

Now she says she plans on using the money to pay for home improvements.

The seller of the ticket received a $500 commission, lottery officials said.
