Snake in car hood doesn’t prevent cop from finishing traffic stop, Wisconsin police say

Even a snake couldn’t help a driver get out of a traffic stop in Wisconsin.

A cop had just pulled over a car last weekend when he discovered a snake had been riding under the hood of his patrol vehicle, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

The deputy “calmly cleared the scene” and returned to the sheriff’s office to drop off his “partner,” police said in a Facebook post on Monday.

But the snake wasn’t going to exit the vehicle easily. The deputy called for backup to remove it, and a sergeant also was unsuccessful.

Finally, they recruited a jail officer for help, and she safely got the snake out of the car.
