Watch this deer run into an SUV, nearly get hit by a Nebraska cop and then bound off

Nothing seemed to faze this deer.

A Nebraska State Patrol lieutenant captured video of the animal bounding onto a road and jumping into the closed window of an oncoming SUV last week in North Platte. Then he stopped his cop car just in time so the deer wasn’t hit a second time.

“Thankfully, they were cranking the AC on a hot North Platte day rather than rolling with the windows down,” police said.

Don’t worry, police say, because passengers in the vehicle weren’t hurt and the deer appeared to be uninjured. It ran away into trees on the side of the road.

Police posted the video on Facebook on Friday.

“This is like when you’re cruising toward the weekend and there’s that one last thing at work that gets in your way,” police said.
