Raleigh man sold cocaine near city park, hid drugs between buttocks, court records say
A Raleigh man accused of selling cocaine near a city park and then hiding it between his buttocks was sentenced to 22 years in prison Thursday.
Khalil Jordan, 24, was convicted of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine and threatening a federal officer, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
Jordan was observed engaging in hand-to-hand drug sales close to Carver Park in Raleigh, the release stated. The roughly 1-acre park is also known as Pender Street Park and John Stokes Memorial Garden, according to the city website.
When Raleigh police officers tried to search Jordan, he told them he would kick them and cause a scene so neighbors would attack them, the release stated. When officers led him to their car, he tried to break free.
A strip search at the police station found 3.6 grams of cocaine base wrapped in individual packages, concealed between his buttocks, the release stated.
As Raleigh police officers and an officer from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives completed his arrest paperwork, he said “If I ever see you again I will shoot you in the face,” the release stated. “Next cop who jumps out on me better have their little pistol ready because I am going to kill them.”
Jordan told an officer taking his finger prints he would “smoke” her if he saw her on the streets, the release stated.
Jordan also spat on an officer while being placed in a holding cell, the release stated.
