A new hot yoga and Pilates studio is opening in Morrisville.

Founded by Rachel Mzhickteno, Beat Yoga & Pilates is moving into the Morrisville Square shopping center off Morrisville Carpenter Road near N.C. 54.

Beat gets its name from its core values: balance, energy, accessibility and transformation.

Mzhickteno, a Kansas native, has more than a decade of experience in yoga and Pilates. She began working as an instructor in 2011, later managing and co-owning a hot yoga studio in Richmond, Virginia.

“Beat is the culmination of everything I’ve learned about building a studio that truly serves its community,” Mzhickteno said in a news release. “I wanted to create a space where people feel supported, challenged and genuinely welcome — whether it’s their first class or their thousandth.”

Check the studio’s website and social media for updates on the grand opening.

Classes at Beat Yoga & Pilates

The studio will offer a variety of yoga and Pilates courses, designed for people of all levels.

Courses include hot (Bikram) yoga, where the room is heated to 105 with 40% humidity, available in 50-minute and 90-minute sessions; hot Pilates, where the room is heated to 95; strength Pilates, which takes place in a room heated to 95 and uses weights and resistance bands; and power Vinyasa yoga, where the room is heated to 95.

Participants can pay per class or memberships.

Beat Yoga & Pilates is located at 126 Morrisville Square Way in Morrisville. It joins a shopping center home to businesses including the restaurants Sip N Spices and C&T Wok, along with Paramount Montessori.
