A new grocery store with a wine and beer bar is opening soon in the Triangle. Here’s where
Harris Teeter is opening soon in a new mixed-use development in the Triangle.
The grocery store is in the Sweetwater Town Center development in Apex, located near Richardson Road and Highway 64.
“We’re excited to open our third Harris Teeter location in Apex,” Danna Robinson, Harris Teeter’s director of corporate affairs, said in a press release. “Harris Teeter loves this community and we’re eager to offer shoppers more convenient access to a variety of high-quality fresh foods at a great value, right where they live, work, and play.”
Here’s what to know about the new store.
Where and when will Harris Teeter open?
The third Apex location is at 2810 Teachey Place.
It will open at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Starting Wednesday, Nov. 13, regular store hours are 6 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.
What will the new Harris Teeter have?
- Store-made pizza, subs, sushi and an Asian and American hot bar
- Expanded meat and seafood departments
- Craft wine and beer bar
- Full-service Starbucks
- Pharmacy
- Fuel center
Stores and restaurants at Sweetwater Town Center
Dozens of businesses have signed on as tenants at the development, leasing agent Preston Waldo of Retail Strategies of N.C. previously told The News & Observer.
Several of the retailers will be on the west side of Richardson Road, same as Harris Teeter:
- Peace Love and Little Donuts: Founded in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 2009, the Apex location will be the doughnut shop’s first in North Carolina, according to the company’s website.
- Potbelly Sandwich Shop
- Greek Kouzina
- Al’s Burger Shack: The popular Chapel Hill burger place will expand to Apex. Owner Charlie Farris told The N&O in an email that they hope to open the new restaurant by summer 2025.
- Fifth Third
- Taco Bell
- Papa Johns
- A Boba tea shop
- Radiant Brows and Beauty
