New Hobby Lobby in Raleigh

Hobby Lobby’s new 55,000-square-foot location in Raleigh, which opened Friday, Oct. 4, is at Six Forks Station Shopping Center, off Strickland Road at Six Forks Road. The store moved into an old Bed Bath & Beyond space between The Home Depot and Food Lion.

Six Forks Station Shopping Center also contains retailers such as Target, PetSmart, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A and Triangle-born Happy + Hale.

New Hobby Lobby in Selma

The Selma location is at 660 Saint Mark Ave., part of the new Eastfield development. It opened Friday, Oct. 11.

Five Below, Burlington, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Marshalls and Ross recently opened at Eastfield, and a Target is planned for the Johnston County shopping area.

Both new Hobby Lobby stores are open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and closed Sunday. They join existing Triangle locations at 6200 Capital Blvd. in Raleigh and at 201 Crossroads Blvd. and 1048 Parkside Main St. in Cary.

Oklahoma-based Hobby Lobby has more than 1,000 stores across the United States, selling floral items, fabric, needle art supplies, custom framing, baskets, home decor, jewelry-making products, scrapbooking supplies and more.

Other stores opening in Raleigh

Trader Joe’s is opening a new store at Brennan Station. This will be the grocer’s second location in Raleigh and its fifth in the Triangle.

While an opening date has not been announced, the company’s website shows that Trader Joe’s is hiring for the forthcoming store, located at 8111 Creedmoor Road.
