Nordstrom Rack is opening a new North Carolina store soon, and it’s in the Triangle.

The Seattle-based retailer and sister brand of Nordstrom will open at Triangle Town Place at 9 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, a senior PR specialist for Nordstrom told The News & Observer in an email. Triangle Town Place is located on Sumner Boulevard off Capital Boulevard and is home to DSW, Dick’s Sporting Goods and Party City.

“Nordstrom Rack is a welcome addition to Triangle Town Place and further enhances the center’s position as a preeminent shopping destination in Northeast Raleigh,” Michael Weil, CEO of Global Net Lease, Inc., which owns and manages the shopping center, said in a previous news release.

Nordstrom Rack carries many of the same brands available at Nordstrom, but at prices up to 70% off. Shoppers will find apparel, accessories, beauty items, home decor and shoes.

Nordstrom Rack’s expansion plans in North Carolina

Raleigh’s 32,000-square-foot store at 3604 Sumner Blvd. is one of several planned for North Carolina.

  • The grand opening for the Mooresville Crossing store in Mooresville will open Thursday, Sept. 26.
  • Nordstrom Rack expects to open in a 25,000-square-foot space in Morrisville’s Park West Village in spring 2025, The N&O previously reported.
  • Another location in Matthews, a 25,000-square-foot store, is planned to open in spring 2025.

These locations will join Nordstrom Rack shops in Durham and Charlotte.

Other clothing stores planned to open in Raleigh in 2024

Several new retailers offering apparel for men and women have yet to open in Raleigh:

  • J.Crew is coming this fall to the Main District at North Hills.
  • The Flourish Market is opening its new store at Raleigh Iron Works on Friday, Oct. 11, the retailer announced on social media. While the store offering home decor and clothing and accessories for women has been open at the development, it has been housed in a temporary space.
