After less than two years, a local coffee shop is closing a Triangle location.

Fare&Fellow opened at Park Point in Research Triangle Park in May 2024. The shop shared Tuesday, Feb. 24 that the location at 4001 N.C.-54 will be closing soon.

“After a lot of thought, conversation, and reflection, we’ve decided not to renew our lease at Park Point,” Fare&Fellow wrote on social media.

The shop will serve its final customers this week.

“What started as a leap of faith as our first physical location became a place of connection filled with regulars, first dates, work sessions, team meetings, and countless cups of coffee shared across the counter,” the company wrote.

Fare&Fellow still operates a location in downtown Durham at 411 W. Chapel Hill St. Its hours are 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Fare&Fellow previously had a shop in Morrisville, at 4921 McCrimmon Parkway, but that location closed. The chain was also announced as a tenant of Raleigh Iron Works, supposed to open in 2025, but it never materialized.

Fare&Fellow menu

The coffee shop sells drip coffee, cold brew, espresso-based drinks and tea, with beverages starting at $3.25.

Fare&Fellow also serves breakfast and lunch dishes. Customers can order lighter options such as avocado toast ($9) and smoothies ($9) or heartier plates such as a breakfast burrito, made with scrambled eggs, Oaxaca cheese blend, sofrito black beans and seasoned potatoes ($12).

Lunch meals ($10-$14) include roast beef and turkey sandwiches, pimento grilled cheese and salads.
