The News & Observer publishes a weekly roundup of restaurant sanitation scores to keep you up-to-date on the health grades at Triangle dining spots.

Sanitation scores and their corresponding letter grades are used in North Carolina to assess restaurants’ adherence to rules and standards intended to mitigate and prevent the spread of food-borne illnesses.

You’ve likely seen sanitation grade cards at restaurants you’ve visited, and The N&O previously explained what those scores mean and how they’re calculated.

Here are sanitation scores in Triangle counties from Nov. 18-24.

Wake County sanitation scores

The Wake County inspection management system shows that 126 restaurant inspections were completed Nov. 18-24.

• Most restaurants received an A grade, or a score of at least 90%.
• One restaurant received a B grade, or a score of at least 80% but lower than 90%.

Anise Pho (222 Glenwood Ave #113, Raleigh, NC 27603) received a score of 88.5% on Thursday, Nov. 20.

• The restaurant was in violation of nine standards.
• Violations included several live roaches observed throughout the kitchen along the walls and ceiling area, several drain flies were observed in the kitchen and opened bags of spices/food observed throughout the kitchen without protection from potential contamination from pests.
• The restaurant previously scored 84.5 on Nov. 10 and 90% in April 2025.

Durham County sanitation scores

The Durham County inspection management system shows 56 restaurant inspections were completed Nov. 18-24.

• Most restaurants received an A grade.
• Two restaurants received a B grade, and one received a C grade, which is a score between 70-79%.

Italian Pizzeria (3823 Guess Rd, Durham, NC 27705) received a score of 88.5% on Monday, Nov. 24.

• The restaurant was in violation of 12 standards.
• Violations included an employee tasting food with their hands while wearing used gloves, another employee working with visibly soiled gloves and missing date markings on multiple foods in the reach-in.
• The restaurant previously scored 95.5% in August 2025 and 96% in May 2025.

Lime & Lemon Indian Grill & Bar (811 N Ninth St, Durham, NC 27705) received a score of 84% on Thursday, Nov. 20.

• The restaurant was in violation of 20 standards.
• Violations included a microwave in need of cleaning by the hot holding area and multiple employees observed engaging in food preparation that were in need of a beard net. Almost everything in the establishment that was not cooling was also found without coverings.
• The restaurant previously scored 91% in July 2025 and 95% in March 2025.

Urban Turban Indian Grill and Bar (1125 W NC 54 Hwy Suite 301, Durham, NC 27707) received a score of 74.5% on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

• The restaurant was in violation of 21 standards.
• Violations included food splatter on walls in multiple areas, cleaning needed on the floors throughout the entire kitchen and inside the walk in cooler and multiple foods in the walk-in and reach-in coolers without dates.
• The restaurant previously scored 88% in August 2025 and 96.5% in May 2025.

Orange County sanitation scores

The Orange County inspection management system shows that 19 restaurant inspections were completed Nov. 18-Nov. 24.

• All restaurants received an A grade.

The Johnston County inspection management system shows that 11 restaurant inspections were completed Nov. 18-24.

• All restaurants received an A grade.

The Chatham County inspections management system shows that nine restaurant inspection was completed Nov. 18-24.
