Mama Crow’s, a burger and salad joint, will close after six years at the downtown Raleigh food hall.

The restaurant announced the closure in a social media post.

“This has truly been an incredible ride,” Mama Crow’s wrote in the post. “While goodbyes are never easy, we’re filled with gratitude for what we’ve shared and excitement for what’s to come.”

Mama Crow’s will be open through Sunday, Sept. 28, the restaurant wrote on social media.

This is the latest change for the East Davie Street venue, which recently went up for sale. Jason Queen, who co-owns Mama Crow’s with his wife, Jeanne, previously told The News & Observer that selling the food hall, which the Queens also co-own, was always part of the plan.

The N&O reached out to Jason Queen for more information about the restaurant closure.

What will replace Mama Crow’s?

A Mediterranean restaurant called Urban Olive is moving into the Mama Crow’s space.

The restaurant will join existing concepts Captain Cookie & The Milk Man, Alimentari at Left Bank, Yatai, Benchwarmers Bagels, Bul Box, Che Empanadas, Dank Burrito, Chhote’s and Burial Beer Co.

Transfer Co. Food Hall was the second food hall to open in downtown Raleigh, following Morgan Street Food Hall, which opened in the Warehouse District in 2018.

The food hall at 500 E. Davie St. is located in a renovated bus garage originally built in the 1920s.
