NC restaurant makes DoorDash’s list of ‘America’s Favorite Delivery Spots of 2024’
If you’re a sucker for cozying up with a delicious meal from the comfort of your home, there’s one local spot you may want to add to your restaurant bucket list.
DoorDash released a new list revealing “America’s Favorite Delivery Spots of 2024 by Cuisine” based on customer ratings and reviews.
Of all the fan-favorite dining spots across the country, only one North Carolina restaurant made the list: Bombay Curry in Raleigh as the top pick for Indian food.
The local restaurant, based in northwest Raleigh, is located in Leesville Towne Center.
Designed to be a “culinary adventure deeply rooted in the depth of the flavor profiles of North India and beyond,” Bombay Curry offers a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes — curated by a chef with over 10 years creating the flavors Indian cuisine, according to the restaurant’s website.
Open for both lunch and dinner service, you can enjoy delicious bowls of tikka malasa, curry, biryani and more, including vegetarian and gluten-free options made blended with freshly ground herbs and spices “that will take you straight to India with one bite.”
Which dishes at the restaurant — which has a 4.8 DoorDash rating — are the most popular? According to the food delivery site, the most-liked menu items are the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala cooked in creamy tomato, onion sauce with herbs and spices and the butter chicken, which is also cooked in the same saucy goodness.
“We’re excited to bring the vibrant flavors of India to the Raleigh community, and we’re thankful to DoorDash for helping us reach even more food lovers,” said Gyan Joshi, co-owner at Bombay Curry. “Our mission is to share the rich traditions of Indian cuisine and make every meal a memorable journey of flavor.”
This isn’t the first time Bombay Curry has been spotlighted as one of the best dining spots around the state capital. The local Indian restaurant was also among the highest-rated Raleigh restaurants based on Yelp reviews too, The News & Observer previously reported.
