A Triangle-based, woman-owned coffee shop is expected to open two more locations by early 2025.

Fare&Fellow has one cafe at the 100-acre Park Point at Research Triangle Park in Durham. That location just opened in May.

Later this year, a second Durham shop will open in the city’s downtown, at the Mutual Life Building at 411 W. Chapel Hill St. According to Fare&Fellow’s website, the downtown location is estimated to open in August 2024.

And by early 2025, Fare&Fellow will have reached Raleigh. The coffee shop is the latest tenant to be announced for the Raleigh Iron Works mixed-use development and will be near YoBa Studio and Solidcore.

“As lifelong residents of Raleigh, we are ecstatic to join the amazing community at Raleigh Iron Works,” Fare&Fellow founder Lindsay Gresock said in a press release. “This is a dream come true, and we can’t wait to continue to plant our roots here and serve the incredible community that has supported us for so many years. We’re excited for you to join us at the table.”

What’s on the menu at Fare&Fellow

The cafe sells coffee, tea and other drinks, including seasonal specialties, along with food.

Fare&Fellow has an emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and it supports other small businesses including Homeland Creamery, Union Special Breads and local coffee roasters.

Sample the food and drinks at Fare&Fellow’s RTP location (4001 NC 54), which is open 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Other tenants coming to Raleigh Iron Works

Raleigh Iron Works, located at 1101 E. Whitaker Mill Road, still has about 20,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space available, a Jamestown LP representative previously told The News & Observer. However, the firm is “actively negotiating on the majority” of that.

Chef Ford Fry, the man behind Cary’s Superica restaurant, will open a location of his taco brand Little Rey this fall at the mixed-use development.

Several tenants have already been announced for Salvage Yard, right across from Raleigh Iron Works on Wicker Drive:

  • Cannonball Music Hall: Performance venue coming this fall
  • Triangle Rock Club: 40,000-square-foot facility with a yoga studio, cardio space, functional fitness and strength-training area, climber training area, gear shop, bouldering space and rope-climbing walls coming this year
  • NOCO Beverage: From Cary’s Bond Brothers Beer Co., this brewery, taproom and coffee bar is expected to open fall 2024
  • Jaguar Bolera: The “eatertainment” spot at Raleigh Iron Works will expand with a 30,000-square-foot pickleball concept.
