TikTok loves this NC pumpkin patch. It has goats and it’s in the Triangle

This fall season, a Chapel Hill pumpkin patch is among the most popular patches on TikTok.

Strawberry Shortcake — the company behind the greeting card and later television show — compiled a ranking of the most popular pumpkin patches across the country using social media metrics. The Chapel Hill farm came in third place.

Spring Haven Farm in Chapel Hill has pumpkin patch exploring and pumpkin carving activities accompanied by goats.

“Our farm is home to LOTS of goats,” the Triangle farm’s TikTok bio reads.

Chapel Hill farm among the most popular pumpkin patches in the US

“In third place is Spring Haven Farm, located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Spring Haven Farm is the most popular pumpkin patch on TikTok, with 4.5 million hashtag views on the platform,” the Strawberry Shortcake report says.

“It’s also the third most Instagrammed patch, with 20,148 posts tagged with ‘#SpringHavenFarm.’”

Cox Farms in Virginia was named the most popular pumpkin patch in the United States by this report, and Linvilla Orchards in Pennsylvania came in second place.

Of the 20 farms on the list, Spring Haven is the only one located in North Carolina.

It costs $13.50 per person to visit Spring Haven Farm, and activities include gem mining and tractor rides.

For an extra $10, you can experience one unforgettable fall activity: Pumpkin Carving with Goats. This event runs through Oct. 31, and you can head online to reserve a time slot for your visit.

“Our furry and curious goat companions will be by your side as you embark on your pumpkin carving adventure. Interact, pet, and laugh with these gentle creatures as they brighten up your day with their adorable antics,” Spring Haven’s website says.

A regular trip to the pumpkin patch does not require tickets, the farm’s website says.

Spring Haven is located at 5306 Homer Ruffin Rd. in Chapel Hill, and it’s open Wednesday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. But until Halloween, the farm is open until 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Visit the farm’s website at springhaven.farm.
