2024 Hopscotch Music Festival: What to know about street closures, parking downtown
One of the biggest festivals in the Triangle is kicking off this weekend in the capital city.
The 2024 Hopscotch Music Festival is being held in the heart of downtown Raleigh Sept. 5-7.
With a loaded lineup of more than 100 artists performing on two main stages and in local venues, plus vendors, a skate competition and more, it’ll be a pretty packed event expected to bring out thousands of music fans.
Whether you’re planning to attend or just passing through downtown, here’s a look at where the three-day festival’s events will be spread out across the area.
There will be two main stages for performing artists at Hopscotch Music Festival: City Plaza (443 Fayetteville St.) and Moore Square (201 S. Blount St.), along with other festivities hosted at various locations throughout the area.
According to the festival website, the following streets will be closed off this weekend for the event:
Fayetteville Street between Davie Street and the south end of City Plaza.
Hargett Street between Person Street and Blount Street on Sept. 7 for Totscotch event.
Martin Street next to Moore Square.
Parking and public transportation
There are more than 70 parking options around downtown but there will not be a designated parking area for the festival, so organizers are strongly recommending fans use rideshares or public transportation downtown, like Uber, Lyft and the R-LINE.
Using the GoRaleigh Live Map tool online at goraleighlive.org/map, you can select “RLine - Downtown Circulator” to check out routes and nearby stops.
If you are planning to make the drive to the festival, there is a list of nearby parking garages and lots online at downtownraleigh.org/getting-around/parking.
