Here’s what you can bring inside the 2024 Hopscotch Music Festival (+ what you can’t)
The countdown is on for dozens of singers, bands and DJs to hit the stage for the 2024 Hopscotch Music Festival in downtown Raleigh.
The 14th annual event will be held Sept. 5-7 featuring over 100 artists across two main stages along with vendors, day parties, skate competitions and more.
Though there will be multiple events scattered throughout the area, there are certain things that will not be allowed at the two main stage areas during the festival.
So before you head downtown to party, here’s a list of what you can and cannot bring.
Are there any banned items from the Hopscotch music festival?
Here’s what items fans are not allowed, according to the festival website:
Weapons or replicas of weapons
Illegal substances
Large bags or backpacks
Laser pointers
Chairs
Blankets
Tents
Umbrellas
Outside food and drinks
Coolers
Glass containers
Cameras with detachable lenses, video cameras, GoPros, Drones, and audio recording equipment
Skateboards, roller blades, scooters, hoverboards and bikes
Hula hoops and flow toys
Pets, except service animals with proper identification
“This list is subject to change without notice at the discretion of festival management,” the festival website states. “If you’re unsure if an item is permitted into the festival, it’s probably best to leave it at home.”
Can you bring a camera to Hopscotch?
Yes, festivalgoers can bring “small point-and-shoot cameras.”
Do you need to bring a clear bag to Hopscotch?
Hopscotch allows the following bags:
Fanny packs no larger than 16.5 inches by x 6.5 inches by 4 inches.
Single pocket drawstring bags no larger than 13 inches by 15 inches.
Clear plastic or vinyl bags larger than 13 inches by 15 inches.
Can you bring water to Hopscotch?
Yes, festivalgoers are allowed to bring one empty, reusable plastic or metal water bottle and/or factory sealed water bottle.
