The time has come for the University of North Carolina to host the Chelsea and Wrexham football clubs at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill — the first time the two teams will meet for a match since 1984.

The match, announced by UNC on April 20, is a part of the 2023 FC Series and it happens on Wednesday, July 19.

This is the first international soccer competition match held at UNC’s Kenan Stadium and the first neutral-spot for the two teams.

If you were not able to get tickets, there are alternative options. If you did get tickets, here are some chants you should learn before you go.

What Chelsea FC chants should I know?

Chelsea FC has been around since 1905, which means they have a lot of chants. We found a list of all their chants online and here are the ones you should learn before you go to the game:

1. Carefree (sung to the tune of “Lord of the Dance” chorus)

Carefree, wherever you may be,

We are the famous CFC,

And we don’t give a *cough*

Wherever you may be,

‘Cause we are the famous CFC.

2. Keep the Blue Flag Flying High (sung to the tune of “O Christmas Tree”)

Flying high up in the sky,

We’ll keep the blue flag flying high,

From Stamford Bridge to Wembley,

We’ll keep the blue flag flying high.

3. Chelsea Champions

Chelsea,

Champions,

Chelsea,

Champions,

Chelsea,

Champions...

4. Sign On

Sign on, Sign on,

With a pen in your hand,

And you’ll never get a job,

You’ll never get a job

Sign on, Sign on,

With a pen in your hand,

And you’ll never get a job,

You’ll never get a job...

5. We All Follow the Chelsea

Even to Leicester...

We all follow the Chelsea,

Over land and sea (and Leicester!)

We all follow the Chelsea,

On to victory.

(Altogether now!)

Repeat
