There’s never a dull day in the world of the Carolina Panthers.

Mike Kaye and Alex Zietlow, cohosts of the Charlotte Observer podcast called Processing Blue, were reminded of this Tuesday when general manager Dan Morgan and head coach Dave Canales spoke to reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

Among the many things we learned:

Head coach Dave Canales is handing off offensive play-calling duties to offensive coordinator Brad Idzik.

The futures of free agents Cade Mays and Rico Dowdle are up in the air.

And Andy Dalton will have to compete for the QB2 spot.

The question for Kaye and Zietlow: Is any of this surprising?
