Canes Stanley Cup parade 2026: See timing, Raleigh route details & map
The Carolina Hurricanes have won the Stanley Cup, and the parade is scheduled for Saturday, June 20 at 11 a.m. in downtown Raleigh.
After the team defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 6 on Sunday, June 14, the team revealed when and where the parade would be on the Lenovo Center’s jumbotron. Now, we know the route will be in the heart of downtown Raleigh, passing through Fayetteville Street.
Canes parade route
The parade will start on Hillsborough Street and St. Mary’s Street, according to the Canes’ website.
- Travels east on Hillsborough towards the State Capitol
- Turns right on Salisbury Street
- Turns left on Morgan Street
- Turns right on Fayetteville Street
- Ends at Davie Street, where a rally at City Plaza will take place
Which streets will be closed?
The city of Raleigh has determined the following closures on Saturday:
- Between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.: Hillsborough Street between W Morgan Street and St. Mary’s Street will be closed for parade staging. The streets where the parade take place (Hillsborough Street at St. Mary’s Street, Salisbury Street, Morgan Street, Fayetteville Street and Davie Street) will be closed during this time period.
- From 3:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Fayetteville Street between Davie Street and Lenoir Street will be closed to facilitate the parade.
- From 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Fayetteville Street between Morgan Street and Davie Street. And Hargett Street between Salisbury Street and Wilmington Street, Martin Street between Salisbury Street and Wilmington Street and Davie Street between Salisbury Street and Wilmington Street will be closed.
Crossroads within one block of each direction of the parade will be detoured. Any additional detours and closures are at the discretion of traffic control near the route, according to the city of Raleigh.
Where should you park?
There are five city owned and operated parking decks and lots will be free during Saturday’s celebration, the city of Raleigh’s website says. The area also has many paid parking decks in walking distance to Fayetteville Street.
- Cabarrus Street: 436 S. Salisbury St.
- Moore Square Deck: 233 S. Wilmington St.
- Wilmington St. Station Deck: 117 S. Wilmington St.
- City Hall Parking Deck: 201 W. Morgan St.
- City Center Deck: 429 S. Wilmington St.
Can you see the Cup?
The parade will be your best chance to see the Stanley Cup in Raleigh, The News & Observer previously reported.
The Cup, made of silver and nickel alloy, weighs 34.5 pounds and is nearly 3 feet tall, according to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Can you meet the players?
After the parade, there will be a rally held in City Plaza on Fayetteville Street, allowing fans to hear from players, coaches and guests of the team.
