Talking Preps: Previewing Tuesday’s NCHSAA state quarterfinals; Mr./Ms NC finalists

A new Talking Preps NC debuts Monday at 8 p.m. On tap:

West Charlotte coach Jacoby Davis and star Chance Morrow stop by to discuss the Lions N.C. 3A playoff run and Morrow takes on Randall on “The Game Show.”

Chelsea sits down with Mooresville 1,000-point scorer KC Shaw.

We break down Saturday’s N.C. Independent Schools state championships, debut the new state rankings and Rick and Randall reveal the final three candidates for the N.C. Mr. and Ms. Basketball Award, or state player of the year.

The crew breaks down Tuesday’s NCHSAA state quarterfinal games, east and west, and in ‘Coach vs. Coach,’ Hopewell coach JaRon Goodson joins Randall and Gary for a spirited debate. Topics? Should the ACC Tournament be in Brooklyn; should the 4A West regional semifinals be played at a neutral site in Charlotte; and -- this year -- was 4A public school better than private school.
