Final NC high school state basketball tournament pairings have been released
The N.C. High School Athletic Association has released its final brackets for its state basketball tournament that begins next week.
Earlier Saturday, the NCHSAA released its preliminary rankings, and schools had about an hour — until 2:30 p.m. local time — to report any necessary corrections.
The pairings have now gone final.

2022 NC high school girls basketball state championship brackets
The first round of play in the tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 22, with the higher seeded team hosting the contest. Subsequent tournament rounds are set for Feb. 24 and Feb. 26.
The fourth round, or regional semifinal, is March 1. The regional championship game is March 5 and the state finals are scheduled for Saturday, March 12.
