Each week, The News & Observer will run a high school athlete of the week poll — and you get to vote for the winner.

Voting ends Thursday. Vote and share as often as you want. Here are this week’s nominees. Pick who you think should win below.

Anya Poole. Southeast Raleigh basketball: The Bulldogs’ senior forward scored 14 points in 27 minutes against Millbrook in the 4A east regional final. Poole went 10-13 from the foul line and also pulled down four rebounds.

Javonte Waverly, Henderson Collegiate basketball: Waverly scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds against North Edgecombe in the 1A regional final.

Bobby Pettiford, South Granville basketball: Scored 25 points on 10-22 shooting against Farmville Central in the 2A regional final.

Tyler Roy, Heritage baseball: Roy went 4-for-4 with one run during a 6-2 win over Green Level.

Chris Katz, Heritage baseball: Katz went 4-for-4 with three hits and four RBIs in a 6-2 win over Green Level.

Raygan Rensing, Heritage softball: Rensing pitched four innings and struck out nine batters in a 15-1 win over Green Level.

Trina Van D, Heritage softball: Huskies’ freshman went 3-for-3 with three hits and two RBIs against Green Level.

Payton Bloom, Apex Friendship baseball: Bloom went 4-for-4 with two hits during a 4-2 win over West Johnston.

Jacob Buell, Apex Friendship baseball: Buell went 3-for-2 with two RBIs against West Johnston.

Isaac Williams, Wake Forest baseball: Cougars’ junior went 3-for-3 with one hit, one run and an RBI in an 11-1 win over Enloe.
