North Carolina added a productive, experienced wing player to next season’s basketball roster through the NCAA transfer portal on Saturday.

Harrison Ingram, who started 62 games for Stanford over the last two seasons, announced he’s transferring to play for UNC next season.

The 6-7, 230-pound Ingram, the Pac-12 freshman of the year for the 2021-22 season, has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

While starting 32 games and playing in 33 for the Cardinal last season, Ingram averaged 10.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

He’s a 31% 3-point shooter during his college career and has shown an affinity for offensive rebounding.

Ingram joins 6-5 shooting guard Cormac Ryan (Notre Dame), 6-9 forward Jae’Lyn Withers (Louisville) and 6-5 guard Paxson Wojick (Brown) as incoming transfers for the Tar Heels next season.

After going 20-13 and missing the NCAA Tournament, UNC saw starting guard Caleb Love transfer to Michigan while 6-5 guard Tyler Nickel is headed to Virginia Tech, 6-6 forward Dontrez Styles to Georgetown and 6-8 forward Justin McKoy to Hawaii. Puff Johnson, a 6-8 forward, is in the transfer portal but has yet to pick a new school.

The Tar Heels did retain two starters in 6-9 all-ACC forward Armando Bacot and 6-foot guard RJ Davis for next season’s team. Reserves 6-3 guard Seth Trimble and 6-5 guard Demarco Dunn are also planning to return next season.

Simeon Wilcher, a 6-4 shooting guard, and 6-8 forward Zayden High are UNC’s incoming freshmen.
