Fans of high-powered passing offenses have appointment television on Saturday night.

No. 15 North Carolina and Wake Forest, the only two ACC teams averaging more than 300 passing yards per game, clash at Truist Field in Winston-Salem.

The Coastal Division-leading Tar Heels (8-1, 5-0 ACC) lead the league in passing offense (329.8 yards per game) behind redshirt freshman quarterback Drake Maye and his talented receivers, led by Josh Downs.

Second in the ACC in passing offense (308.6 yards per game), Wake Forest (6-3, 2-3 ACC) relies on quarterback Sam Hartman and his sure-handed receivers, led by A.T. Perry.

Thanks to Hartman’s turnover woes of late, Wake Forest has lost its past two games. Hartman is second in the ACC with 24 touchdown passes, but he’s thrown six interceptions over the past two weeks to give him nine for the season.

That’s put Maye in position to be the all-ACC first-team quarterback, and perhaps the league player of the year. He’s thrown 31 touchdown passes with just three interceptions.

UNC can clinch the final Coastal Division championship and earn a date with Clemson in the Dec. 3 ACC championship with a win over Wake Forest.
