Want to watch the UNC-Loyola college basketball game on TV? Here’s how to find it.
The offseason circus that surrounded Roy Williams’ retirement, Hubert Davis’ ascension, and clubs getting back to whatever normal is has come to an end, and with an opening tip Tuesday, one of the more anticipated UNC basketball seasons in recent memory is set to start.
Davis, of course, is coaching in his first regular season game with UNC, taking over for Williams after several years on his staff.
The Tar Heels will begin their season facing Loyola of Maryland. Think you’re not used to seeing Loyola on the schedule? You’re right. Carolina defeated Loyola, 64-47, at the Baltimore Coliseum on New Years Eve 1947 in the only previous game between the schools.
The opening-night opponent won’t be the only thing “new” with the Heels: They’ll have seven new players on the roster — three transfers, two freshmen and two players elevated from the JV team. One of those transfers is Raleigh native and former Panther Creek of Cary standout Justin McKoy, who played two seasons at Virginia before joining UNC this season via the transfer portal.
So, you’re intrigued about this team? The game is available on the ACC Network.
Are you a cord-cutter?
If your preferred method of watching games involves streaming, there are options for that, too.
The game is also available on the ESPN App with an ESPN+ subscription, and through various subscription apps that carry the ACC Network, such as Fubo.
