NC State basketball coach Kevin Keatts adds one more player to Wolfpack roster
N.C. State made a late addition to the men’s basketball team Friday, adding forward Mady Traore to the mix as the team’s 16th and final roster player..
Traore posted the announcement on Twitter.
With Traore joining the Wolfpack, the team has no more scholarships available for 2022-23.
Traore (6-11, 195) is a three-star prospect from Cumberland, Maryland. He is the No. 7 player in Maryland according to 247Sports, and the No. 32 center.
He picked N.C. State over Arizona State, Dayton, Florida and Auburn, among others. New Wolfpack assistant coach Joel Justus was an assistant with the Sun Devils before joining the N.C. State staff this offseason.
Coming to the United States by way of France, Traore started his prep career at National Christian Academy in Oxon Hill, Maryland. He played briefly at Bull City Prep in Durham and finished at Believe Prep in Rock Hill, S.C. Wolfpack true freshman L.J. Thomas also played at Bull City Prep.
Traore bolsters a front court that was short on bodies a year ago. Kevin Keatts now has six post players on the roster.
