Top point guard in 2023 class, Robert Dillingham, decommits from NC State basketball

Rumors have followed Charlotte native Robert Dillingham every step of his college recruitment. Most recently, the former Combine Academy star was said to be considering arriving at N.C. State — to which he committed in December — early.

Now, he might not show up on campus at all.

Dillingham, the 5-star point guard who now plays at Donda Academy in California, posted on his Instagram account that he was decommitting from N.C. State.

“After careful consideration, I have decided to reopen my college recruitment,” Dillingham posted. “While N.C. State is still an option, I would like to explore all of my options.”

Dillingham is among the top point guards in the class of 2023.

He previously announced his verbal commitment to the Wolfpack on Dec. 1, the first commitment to Kevin Keatts in the class of 2023.
