Is NC State’s Bradley Chubb the top prospect in the NFL draft? One list says he is.

N.C. State defensive end Bradley Chubb continues to rise up NFL draft boards, and the Georgia native has made it to the top of at least one list.

CBSSports.com released its top draft prospects on Tuesday, and Chubb was ranked the No. 1 overall prospect heading into April’s draft. Chubb “checks all the boxes,” according to Chris Trapasso, who wrote the rankings for CBSSports.com.

Chubb, who sat out of the Wolfpack’s win over Arizona State in the Sun Bowl on Friday, started 12 games in 2017, finishing third on the team with 73 tackles. The 6-4, 276-pound defensive end led N.C. State with 26 tackles for loss and 10 sacks, leaving Raleigh as the all-time leader in career sacks, passing Mario Williams, the 2006 No. 1 NFL draft pick.

Chubb was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year and won the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, given each year to the top defensive player in the nation.

For the second straight season, the Cleveland Browns hold the No. 1 pick. Last season, Cleveland drafted Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett with the first overall pick.
