Three-star defensive end from Heritage commits to NC State football
Joseph Boletepeli, a senior defensive end at Heritage High School, committed to N.C. State, he announced on Twitter Sunday night.
Boletepeli, a 3-star recruit, is the second defensive player from the Triangle to commit to the Wolfpack recently. On Nov. 4, Sanderson defensive lineman/linebacker Alim McNeill announced his intentions to sign with N.C. State.

Boletepeli, who transferred from Millbrook for his senior year, had nearly 20 offers, but the 6-4, 244 pound defensive end picked the Wolfpack over Michigan State, North Carolina and Maryland. Boletepeli has 54 tackles this season for the Huskies, who will take on Cardinal Gibbons in the second round of the NCHSAA 4A playoffs on Friday.
Boletepeli is the third Heritage player in the Class of 2018 to commit to an ACC school, joining quarterback Gunnar Holmberg (Duke), defensive lineman Joe Kane (Virginia Tech) and running back Ricky Person (N.C. State).
