Duke’s final two home basketball games offer two chances for sweet revenge.

The Blue Devils face Virginia Tech on Saturday, the first of two games against teams that beat them earlier this season.

Duke’s home finale looms Tuesday night against N.C. State, which hammered the Blue Devils, 84-60, at PNC Arena in Raleigh on Jan. 4.

First up, though, are the Hokies (16-12, 6-11 ACC), who beat Duke, 78-75, in Blacksburg, Virginia, on Jan. 23.

The Blue Devils (20-8, 11-6) feel good about their chances Saturday night because the game is at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke is 14-0 on its home court this season.

In the teams’ first game, Hunter Cattoor drilled 5 of 10 3-pointers to score 15 points while 6-9 big man Grant Basile led the way with 24 points for the Hokies. Duke coach Jon Scheyer said defense is a big factor for his team if it wants to beat Virginia Tech this time.

“For us, it’s really staying true to who we are as a team,” Scheyer said. “We want to defend that 3-point line. Of course, they’re going to make some threes. That’s what they do. But you can’t give up layups. You can’t give up layups and win big games.”

Duke enters on a three-game winning streak, its second in ACC play this season. The Blue Devils have won six of their past eight games.
