Bills' Upcoming Season Leaves a Lot of Question Marks
Talk about change. The Buffalo Bills had a good season and made it to the playoffs, but they famously parted ways with head coach Sean McDermott in a shocker of a move.
Was it change for the sake of it? Will moving on from McDermott really help the franchise? Those are some questions that need to be answered, and they will be soon.
I’m not a huge fan of the McDermott firing. He had an incredible run with the Bills, and it really wasn’t his fault that they never made it to the Super Bowl under him. It’s a move that may come back to bite them. Now, the Bills are under Joe Brady.

ESPN’s Seth Walder agrees in a feature out on Tuesday, June 30, about each NFL team’s offseason.
“I’m wary of all these moves,” he says. While Buffalo did not reach the Super Bowl under McDermott, which is rough given the quality teams it had, I would blame that mostly on close-game luck and variance rather than any systemic issues that McDermott could be blamed for.”
He adds: “The best argument for replacing McDermott with Brady was ensuring offensive continuity for former MVP quarterback Josh Allen (because Brady could have been hired elsewhere). But the move comes with significant risk. The Bills haven’t had a great defense on paper, and the defensive-minded McDermott could have been getting the most out of those players. So, what happens now that Buffalo doesn’t have him?”
My Take: Josh Allen Won’t Let This Team Fail
Letting go of McDermott could absolutely come back to bite this franchise.
But, frankly, it’s hard to see the Bills failing with Allen at the helm. He’s truly one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now, so he won’t let this team go down in flames.

However, Allen may not be able to do much more with Brady than he could under McDermott. Brace for what could possibly be more of the same this season for Buffalo.
