Sophie Cunningham's High School Video Goes Viral Amid DeWanna Bonner Beef
Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has been a menace since high school, when she also played football.
Cunningham has been making waves across social media since her viral incident involving Phoenix Mercury veteran DeWanna Bonner during their game last Monday. Cunningham gave life to a new meme after pointing her finger at Bonner during the heated confrontation.
Amid her latest viral trend, a video of Cunningham from her high school days has resurfaced.
In the video, the Fever star is seen playing football as a kicker for Rock Bridge High School. At one point in the clip, she was also seen pointing a finger.
This short clip revealed that even during her high school days, her finger-pointing habit was already on full display.
I'd like to remind everyone that Sophie Cunningham (@sophaller) was a placekicker and homecoming queen in high school.

Oh, and she had a mean finger pointing game even then. pic.twitter.com/0pmUnplwyn
The above post has blown up online. As of this writing, it has already amassed 2.7 million views.
The beef between Cunningham and Bonner dates back to last year, when the latter signed a one-year deal as a free agent with the Fever during the offseason.
However, her stint with the team was cut short after just nine games, as she went on a leave of absence, requested a trade and was ultimately waived.
Cunningham publicly criticized Bonner for how she handled her Fever exit. Cunningham claimed that Bonner never communicated with them properly.
Shortly after being waived by Indiana, Bonner returned to Phoenix, where she began her pro career in 2009.
Based on their most recent altercation, it is clear that there is no love lost between the pair.
