Lawson had the privilege to witness Clark's playmaking firsthand, as she played under her during the FIBA Women's World Cup qualifiers in March.
Clark averaged 11.6 points and 6.4 assists in five games, en route to winning the tournament's Most Valuable Player award.
Her most notable performance was the double-double she posted against Senegal, when she finished with 17 points and 12 assists.
Clark also helped Indiana secure a 83-71 win over Atlanta in front of their home fans at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year concluded the game with 17 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.
But the night belonged to her teammate Kelsey Mitchell, who had the team-high 25 points and joined the 5,000-point club in the league.
This win also secured their first Commissioner's Cup victory this season, as the Fever look to defend their crown.
Clark successfully bounced back from her forgettable performance in their game against Portland, where she only finished with six points, six assists and two rebounds.
