Another N.C. State player is entering the portal.

Junior guard Terrance Arceneaux is reportedly entering the transfer portal, according to ESPN, after spending one season with the Wolfpack. He played his first three years at Houston.

Arceneaux played a limited role in the first half of the season but came off the bench and ultimately settled into a defensive specialist role toward the back half of the season.

The redshirt junior averaged 3.8 points and 2.6 rebounds per game this year, which were lower than his numbers from a year prior.

Arceneaux scored 12 and 13 points against Boston College and Florida State, two of his best scoring performances of the season. He became a solid rebounder for the team, pulling down four or more boards in nine appearances. Additionally, Arceneaux was aggressive on defense. He recorded 26 steals and 11 blocks in 30 games.

The Beaumont, Texas, native was considered one of the more athletic players for the Wolfpack.

He received praise from former head coach Will Wade following N.C. State’s 88-68 win over Syracuse.

“Terrance made a huge impact for us on both ends, especially defensively,” Wade said after the game. “With his activity, he was guarding the ball, we did a good job of wearing [Naithan] George out a little bit. They didn’t play him as much in the second half, because we were picking him up full court, and Terrence did a great job with that.”

Arceneaux didn’t have the easiest season. He was limited in the first month of the season because of a lingering Achilles injury and, at times, did not play due to a coaching decision.

“I had a shaky start with the injury and stuff like that not going my way,” Arceneaux said in January. “But I just stayed confident in myself, in my game and have been ready.”

Prior to coming to N.C. State, Arceneaux was an American Conference All-Freshman team honoree — before the Cougars joined the Big 12 — and played in the national championship game against Florida in 2025.

He was a four-star recruit in high school and listed as the fourth-best player from Texas. Arceneaux had offers from Baylor, Texas and Georgia during his initial recruitment.

Arcenaux joins Paul McNeil, Matt Able and Cole Cloer, all of whom are entering the portal.
