N.C. State women’s basketball lost another guard to the transfer portal this week.

Sophomore Devyn Quigley announced she would enter the portal after spending two seasons with the program. She thanked her coaches, teammates and supporters, saying she will carry the relationships and experiences from N.C. State with her forever.

“This was not an easy decision, and it comes with a lot of emotion,” Quigley wrote on a social media post, “but I know it is the right step for me at this point in my journey.

Quigley came off the bench in both seasons with the Wolfpack. This year, she averaged 4.3 points and 2.4 rebounds per game in 29 appearances.

The guard’s 3-point and free throw percentages dropped in her second year in Raleigh. She shot 36.7% from the perimeter and 73.3% from the line as a freshman. This season, Quigley shot 29% from deep and 71.4% from the line.

Quigley’s best game of the season came against Wake Forest, when she scored 14 points on 5 of 8 shooting, including four baskets from 3-point range. She scored 11 points and pulled down four boards in the season-ending loss to Michigan.

As a recruit, Quigley ranked in the national top 50 and was a four-star prospect. She was a McDonald’s All-America game nominee and was a three-time Shore Sports Network Player of the Year and All-State recipient.

Quigley joins several teammates entering the transfer portal. Starting guard Zamareya Jones and forwards Mallory Collier and Tilda Trygger announced their plans to enter the portal. Junior guard Zoe Brooks is expected to return for her senior season.
