NC Central runs up the score on Edward Waters on homecoming, rushing for 5 TDs
N.C. Central rushed for five scores including two each by Isaiah Totten and Tyquan Watson as the Eagles ran over Edward Waters, 52-12, on homecoming.
The Eagles (4-4, 2-2 MEAC) registered 559 yards of total offense, more than tripling that of the Tigers (4-6, 2-3 Mid-South).
Totten scored from 22 yards in the first quarter and again on a 56-yard dash in the third to lead Central with 133 yards on the ground.
Watson’s two touchdowns, of 2 and 10 yards, came in the second half. His 109 rushing yards were nearly match by a 101-yard night by Mashion Powell, whose 8-yard scamper put the Eagles up 45-0 at the start of the fourth quarter.
Naiil Ramadan opened scoring with a 36-yard pass to Nique Martin. A 28-yard field goal by Adam Lippy put Central up 17-0 at halftime.
Ramadan and Dominique Shoffner combined for 180 yards passing.
Shoffner connected with Ryan McDaniel for a 55-yard touchdown in the third.
Derrick Jones threw two late touchdowns for the Tigers – 17 yards to Kamaree Noble and 16 yards to Isaiah Johnson.
